How I brought structure to a fast-growing startup building Shopify apps for D2C brands, and helped design plugin nudges that lifted average order value.
When I joined, the company was like most young startups: fast, busy and running on goodwill. Work moved through scattered chats, reports got lost, handovers between people were messy, and the team carried stress that came from the process, not the work.
I moved internal communication to Slack, with clear channels for each kind of work, and kept WhatsApp for clients because that is what they prefer. Reports stopped getting lost and handovers had a home.
I worked with the developers to build a central operations dashboard. Each person logs their work for the day; the admins see open tickets, sales progress and each person’s open items in one place. It is linked to GitHub and Slack, so updates arrive as Slack notifications instead of people chasing each other.
I defined KPIs for team members and success metrics for every plugin, so the founders can see progress at a glance and the team knows what good looks like.
On the product side I helped design plugin features built on shopper behaviour and psychology: nudges shown at the right moment that shoppers find hard to ignore.

Most of the chaos in a young company is not about effort; it is about where information lives. Give work one home, one owner and one place to see status, and the team gets faster and calmer at the same time.
